Holiday Shopping

So I was trying to exchange something at the mall today. One of Sharon's gifts. I decided I bought the wrong one, and wanted something else, from the same store. After crediting my card, and taking the item back from me, the guy informed me that they were out of what I wanted, but I was welcome to purchase the one I'd just returned.

But that would've meant paying for it twice (since returns to credit cards can take up to 4 business days), at least until the return processed, and I can't afford that.

Needless to say, I was highly disappointed. I don't think I'll be able to replace it in time for our gift exchange!
